Description (350 words max in 3 to 5 paragraphs)
Your LivTours’ Private Cooking Class in Rome starts when you meet Marilee right in the centre of a beautiful suburban area of Rome called Città Giardino (city of gardens). You will experience a true Roman market with an abundance of fresh produce and meats. Your private cooking class in Rome begins here, shopping for the ingredients for the meal you will prepare.
Once you have bought the ingredients, take a stroll with Marilee as she welcomes you into her private home. For the next few hours, Marilee will guide you through the preparation of her favorite dishes as you learn about the rustic origins of Roman cuisine and prepare your very own feast.
The class starts with learning how to roll dough. This basic skill will be essential for your meal and is fun for the whole family! You will begin with a typical Neapolitan dish called Pizzelle., an antipasto. With your private cooking class in Rome, you will feel at home as you nibble on snacks and sip on wine as you continue cooking. Marilee teaches you the tricks of rolling out and cutting handmade pasta, as your dough rolling skills will be called into action!
Once the pasta is ready to be cooked, you will learn an important Italian skill: how to cook al dente! Now it is time to enjoy a few sips of wine as you prepare to eat the first course you have prepared. Relax into Italian hospitality and learn the customs and traditions that make Italian meals unique.
After enjoying your pasta the cooking class continues with the preparation of a typical Roman secondo or meat dish. The simple cooking method will amaze you and it will be extremely easy for you to recreate this back in your own house. After savoring your main course you will all enjoy Italian biscotti and coffee on the terrace.
LivTours private cooking class in Rome is a unique and truly local experience. Take time away from the tourist-filled city center and relax into this authentic and thoughtful meal. Take home a truly memorable souvenir: a new set of cooking skills and first-hand knowledge of classic Italian dishes you will be able to recreate time and time again.
